Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the HoopView app for Android ("the app") and the HoopView website handle information. HoopView is published on Google Play by the developer account "Thanh Kaiba" ("we", "us").

In short: HoopView has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Your embroidery designs are opened and processed on your device and are never uploaded to us. We do not collect, sell or share personal data.

1. Your embroidery files

You choose which files HoopView opens: with the in-app file picker, from a folder you link, or by sharing or opening a file with HoopView from another app. Designs and ZIP files are read, rendered and converted entirely on your device. The app has no server and never uploads your designs.

A file leaves the app only when you choose to export it, save it to a folder or USB drive, print or save a PDF color sheet, or share a PNG image. It then goes to the destination you pick, and that destination's own privacy practices apply.

2. Information stored on your device

To work, the app keeps a small amount of data locally:

• your settings (units, thread brand, machine speed and preferred formats);
• a list of recently opened files and access to folders you linked, granted through Android's file picker;
• cached thumbnail images of designs you opened;
• whether HoopView Pro has been unlocked on this device.

This data stays on your device, is not sent to us and is excluded from Android backups. You can remove it by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the app. You can revoke folder access at any time in the app or in Android settings.

3. Purchases (HoopView Pro)

HoopView Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play. Google handles payment and account details under the Google Privacy Policy; we never receive your card or payment information. The app asks Google Play whether Pro has been purchased on your Google account so it can unlock and restore Pro features. The Google Play Billing library uses a network connection for this, and this is the only network access the app has.

4. What we do not do

• No user accounts or sign-in.
• No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
• No analytics, tracking or crash-reporting SDKs.
• No location, contacts, camera or microphone access.
• No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties.

5. This website

The HoopView website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, accounts or cookies, and it loads no fonts, images or scripts from third-party services. Our hosting provider may process standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for a limited time to deliver and secure the site. Links to Google Play or other stores open external websites with their own privacy practices.

6. Children

HoopView is a general-audience tool for embroidery and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Security

Your designs remain in Android's app-private storage or in the locations you choose. Purchase checks are handled by Google Play over an encrypted connection.

8. Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect in the app.
